We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Ivo Dimchev, a Bulgarian theater maker, choreographer, visual artist, singer-songwriter, and queer activist whose work is an extraordinary and colorful blend of performance art, dance, theater, music, painting, and photography. Dimchev is celebrated globally, with over 40 stage performances to his name and numerous international awards in dance and theater.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dimchev uniquely connected with audiences by performing over 400 private concerts in homes across Bulgaria, Istanbul, New York, and Los Angeles. These intimate events gained significant attention, including a profile in The New Yorker titled “The Extravagant Exuberance.” His expansive artistic output also includes more than 100 original songs, all compiled in his “Songbook.” Dimchev’s innovative work has captivated audiences across Europe, South and North America, and Asia.
