We collaborated on the design of the specialized publication, the “7000” zine, a project by Fine Acts supported by the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law (BCNL). This zine brings together seven talented graphic artists, illustrators, and photographers to visually narrate the stories and rights of people with disabilities.

With text thoughtfully penned by Yana Byurer Tavanier, the zine features compelling visuals from Borislava Karadjova – Borislava Willmadeit, Albena Tsoneva – Albena Limoni, Daniela Yankova, Denitsa Boyadjieva, Elitsa Sarbinova, Sevda Semer, and Vera Gotseva – Lomovera.

In the booklet we designed, you’ll discover how each artist, through their unique personal style, reinterprets the story of an individual living under guardianship. In doing so, they collectively sign, in the universal language of art, their support for the cause of ensuring that people with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities have the right to free choice, independent decision-making, and a dignified life.

The “7000” zine is part of the broader national civic initiative “7000,” carried out in cooperation with the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law, the Bulgarian Association of People with Intellectual Disabilities, and the Global Initiative on Psychiatry – Sofia, all working towards crucial systemic change.
